Toasting roof renovation.
When Warburtons discovered corrosion problems on the roofs of its Bolton and Nottingham bakeries, the company was faced with the dilemma of completely renewing the roofs or somehow finding an effective yet economic way of repairing them. Both bakeries had been constructed with profiled pvc coated metal roofs, and while the sheets themselves were still in good condition, the original cut edges and overlaps on the sheets had been badly affected by peel back and lap joint corrosion.
The prospect of an expensive re-roofing programme during the depths of the recession was unthinkable, so Weatherproofing Advisors recommended Delvemade’s silicone edge and lap repair system, Seamsil.
Seamsil is applied in a strict, proven specification and only by a network of approved contractors. In this instance, the work at Bolton was completed by Design Roof Systems, while the Nottingham project was carried out by Ellemby Contracts.
