RigiSystems 32/167/1000 trapezoidal profile has been used to dramatic effect at Southampton’s new Ocean Cruise Terminal.

The profile may be one of the more traditional types of roofing material, but its use in a continuous roof-to-wall application on the new £19m development, the first purpose-built cruise facility at the port for over 40 years, provides a look that is both contemporary and stylish. 12,000m2 of the profile were used in 0.9mm aluminium with a PVDF metallic silver finish.

The broad, outward-facing ribs of the profile give a striking visual effect, emphasised by the sleek lines of the building mirroring the lines of the ocean cruisers that dock there, including the flagship Queen Mary 2, the largest ocean liner ever built.
