With more than a decade of experience in the liquid roofing sector, the LRWA says Sarah will provide strategic direction to the Association as it continues to grow, raising awareness of both the technical and financial benefits of specifying liquid applied waterproofing systems. Sarah, who previously worked for a leading liquid roofing manufacturer in both commercial and technical roles, joined the LRWA eight years ago, and soon became the chair of the marketing committee. She played an active role within the LRWA, and in 2010 spear-headed the re-brand of ELWA (European Liquid Waterproofing Association), to what is now the LRWA. In 2013, Sarah was asked to join the board. www.lrwa.org.uk The LRWA’s first CEO Luke Treadwell As part of its commitment to strengthen support to merchants, SIG Roofing has announced the appointment of David Arendell as national sales director. With over 18 years’ sales and senior management experience within Braas Monier Building Group, and more recently with Klober, David will focus on driving growth across the business via merchants. As new commercial manager, Andrew Atkinson brings with him 51 years’ experience in the industry. He will be responsible for driving business expansion and acting as client interface on contracts. Tony Graham takes up the role of contracts manager, responsible for ordering materials and overseeing all projects on site. He is no stranger to the industry after having spent 20 years working for Roofclad’s owner David Tilley in his former business where he began work in the industry as an operative. Alan Ridgewell, who joined the civil engineering and groundworks specialist as a job lorry driver in 2007, was presented with the company’s long service award by Gravesend branch manager Craig Lyons. Craig commented: “We are thrilled to be celebrating this terrific achievement with Alan. His driving work and attention to safety is a great example of our team’s continuous commitment to deliver outstanding customer service. Justin Ransted joins Cembrit UK as UK sales manager following roles at Icopal, Triton, Sika, Acheson & Glover and Hanson UK. As part of the sales team in all these roles, he was responsible for selling building products to contractors, property developers and self-builders. Simon Porter is taking on the role of regional sales manager and will be based at Cembrit’s Reading office.
