Joining from DANOSA Roofing, Danielle McGowan will cover Scotland and north east England, while Helen Smith, formerly of Arco, has been appointed to cover the Trans-Pennine area. Managing director, Andrew Devlin, has recently taken on the role of chief executive officer with previous commercial director, Euan Walker, taking up the managing director position. Andrew had worked as managing director since the business launched in 2000, which today employs 34 headquarter staff and over 100 on-site operatives. The change in structure will free up some of Andrew’s time to focus on expanding the company into new markets in Europe and beyond. In her roles with Tegral, Slate UK and Cembrit, Lorraine Morrish has been providing slate products to the UK for over 25 years, and is said to be widely known and respected across the industry for her depth of knowledge and commitment to providing quality products and service. Richard Evans brings over 17 years of roofing experience with him, having spent time at Gordon H Richards, Clydesdale Roofing, SIG and Cembrit. Simon has almost 30 years’ experience in the single-ply and flat roofing industry, gained as a fullytrained flat roofer, including large commercial projects, managing commercial and residential contracts, and also working on the other side of the counter in senior roles for roofing merchants. He will be available to offer customers advice and guidance on choosing the best single-ply or flat roofing solution for any projects, whether commercial or domestic. Simon will also be assisting Plytech’s growing network of approved FiberTite installers to win contracts, and to ensure a high-quality finish is achieved for building owners. www.plytech.co.uk Ravatherm UK welcomes new member Insulation manufacturer, Ravatherm UK, has appointed a new business development manager for the south east as the company celebrates continued growth. David Allsopp from Kent, will work closely with contractors, distributors and specifiers to ensure their needs for insulation solutions are met. Having worked in the building materials industry for eight years, David will be mainly fieldbased, identifying and securing new opportunities and building relationships within the sector. William’s promotion recognises his achievements since joining the firm in 2011 as a product engineer, most notably tripling product sales. In January 2012, William was granted full control of Roofco’s product portfolio and with the assistance of sales and technical associate, William Smith, he is said to be rapidly increasing the firm’s market share and extending its reputation within the roofing industry. As part of its increased focus on growth, Phil has been appointed as commercial manager, and brings with him more than 25 years’ sales and marketing experience to the role. He will oversee the company’s internal sales, marketing and estimating departments. As the most recent addition to the Marley Alutec estimating department, Tom brings ten years’ of experience as technical advisor at Celotex Insulation, where he gained an in-depth understanding of building types and methods, as well as specification calculations. www.marleyalutec.co.uk AJW Distribution has added to its team by employing Mark Maclean as the company’s industrial sales manager for the Midlands. Mark will be based in Leicester and will be introducing AJW to the local industrial roofers and contractors. Having worked in the roofing industry since 1988, Mark brings with him a wealth of experience. His most recent position was with TFS Derby as business development manager for the company’s roofing and cladding sales, where he worked there for ten years.
