SpectraROOF Single Ply Engineering, a division of IKO, has produced a new pocket-sized system installation guide for their trained and approved roofing contractors.

The booklet highlights the key benefits of Spectraplan TPE membrane systems, which are produced in a range of different ‘types’ designed for specific applications.

Spectraplan SM120 is a polyester scrim-reinforced membrane for mechanically fastened roofing systems which are overlapped using IKOfix Stress Plates and IKOfix screws.
Spectraplan SG120 is a polyester fleece-backed membrane for a bonded roofing system using Spectrabond low foaming PU Adhesive. Side laps are hot air welded.

Spectraplan D is a homogenous roofing membrane for use on complex detailing, and Spectraplan Walkway is a heavy-duty TPE membrane with a grid pattern for use on walkways. The booklet provides a system installation overview for warm, inverted and green roof systems, including all standard detail procedures on outlets, pipe flashings and upstands, and it also features details of the ancillaries available to complement the Spectraplan range.

Frank Williamson, technical engineer at SpectraROOF, said: “The installation booklet has been developed for our trained and approved contractors to assist in all single ply TPE applications, and is a handy pocket-sized guide made from weatherproof, durable material ideal for onsite conditions. A PVC installation booklet is currently also being created, and will be available for our approved contractors soon.”

SpectraROOF Single Ply Engineering provides the latest generation of polymeric single ply membranes, including TPE, TPO and PVC systems and associated ancillaries.
