Jermyn Street

SeesawNorman & Underwood, who is celebrating 185 years in business, is once again undertaking work at a location whose heritage rivals its own with the announcement of a new project in London’s Jermyn Street. The work is due to begin in mid-June in partnership with the architects A Gibberds of London.

Originally approached for its expertise in glazing, Norman & Underwood has also been able to utilise its skills to undertake work on the Met-Zec walling structure, carry out the installation of insulation to new regulations and replacing the zinc cladding. The glazing work will include the installation of Shüco 65HSI composite aluminium windows, incorporating ornate framework features and the entire project is scheduled for completion later this year.

Chris Doran contract manager at Norman & Underwood said: “Jermyn Street is an address which says ‘style’ to people throughout the world and it would be a shame if the buildings themselves did not reflect this. We are always excited by new projects and it is important to recognise that our architectural heritage is alive and well in the hearts of our cities.”
