Aquality Trading & Consulting, which provides rainwater and greywater harvesting systems, will be showcasing its latest low-energy rainwater harvesting system at Ecobuild 2010.The Rainmanager Aqua-Control Eco, due to hit the UK market in Spring 2010, will be displayed on stand 1160, and members of the Aquality team will be on hand to answer questions.
The company says that the new system reduces the energy consumption of rainwater harvesting by 50%, and it has been specifically developed to target small domestic housing projects.
The Rainmanager Aqua-Control Eco has such a low carbon footprint that it is ideal for projects aiming to achieve the criteria determined by the Code for Sustainable Homes.
Lutz Johnen, MD of Aquality Trading & Consulting, said: “This is a significant development for rainwater harvesting in the UK. There is an increasing demand for even more environmentally friendly products and the Rainmanager Aqua-Control Eco delivers on all fronts, whether on its environmental credentials, performance or ease of use.
“We expect to see the product widely used in small domestic housing projects where there is a strong demand for a rainwater harvesting system with a very low carbon footprint.”
Lutz will be speaking at Ecobuild’s ‘Getting Water Wise’ seminar held on Wednesday 3rd March at the exhibition, and will chair the debate on “Short cutting the water cycle using RWH and greywater”, which looks at how rainwater harvesting and greywater usage can both alleviate the risks of flooding and reduce water demand.
