Shiny happy smoke vents
Twenty-six of Bilco’s REM polyester powder-coated smoke vents have been fitted in the roofs of new residential buildings in a section of the Isle of Dogs regeneration scheme known as the Crossharbour project.Seven of the vents can also be used as access hatches to enable maintenance of equipment mounted on the roofs, and all 26 are of single leaf design and fitted with the company’s Bilguard railing system.
There are four standard sizes of Bilco’s 50-REM vents available from stock, and special sizes can also be ordered. Linear actuators fitted to the vents ensure positive and controlled operation in accordance with EN12101.
The overlapping cover design, fully welded corners on the cover and curb, EPDM rubber gasket and fully insulated cover and curb help specifiers to meet Building Regulation requirements for airtightness and thermal efficiency.
Plus, the vents are constructed with corrosion-resistant materials to provide many years of trouble-free, dependable service backed by a 10-year guarantee.
