Carolyn joins the Personal Protective Equipment ( PPE) and w orkwea r spe cialist from distributors Cromwell Tools, where she developed her field knowledge in PPE as an area sales representative. She joins the Huthwaite-based firm as an administrator for the machined panels side of the business. Debbie’s appointment will support the company with the logistics of importing, managing the stock holding, and fulfilling customer orders for softwood and hardwood panels, worktops and tongue-andgroove matchboards. Howard, who replaced interim chief executive, Declan Ronayne, who left Selco in December 2017, said: “I’m proud to have enjoyed a long career in the industry, and I’m hugely excited about the challenge of heading up the most progressive and forward-thinking builders’ merchant business in the UK. “There has been fantastic growth, particularly in terms of branch openings, over the last five or six years, and there are plans for that to continue in 2018 and beyond.” Howard continued: “No stone will be left unturned in our quest to continue the Selco success story.” www.selcobw.com On the crest of the wave East Yorkshire-based Crest Building Products has appointed Rodney Hogg as its new national roofing product manager. Rodney has over 16 years’ experience working in the roofing industry. In recent years, as well as developing roofing tile ranges, he has focussed on the emerging renewable energy markets, especially with the creation of integrated photovoltaic solutions. Sales manager, Jason Wood, has been promoted to contracts director, and is responsible for business development and key account management. The company has bolstered its sales and marketing team with the appointments of Matt Vallis as sales and marketing manager, and Andrew Jefferies and Joshua Grigg as internal sales executives.
