< November 2017, which will run again
The aim of the event was to raise the
profile of the industry’s workmanship
and showcase the breadth and diversity of
projects involving liquids. On top of that,
we recognised excellence in training and
celebrated those people who have made
their mark on the industry.
We were aiming to attract 100 guests,

but the figure was almost double that,
reflecting the demand for a new platform
which helps our industry to showcase its
successes and come together to network.
The liquid roofing sector is the fastest
growing in the flat roofing market, so we
can’t rest on our laurels.
Over the next 12 months, our aim is to
build on these recent developments and
Our technical capabilities will remain
a key focus as we seek to strengthen our
services in this area, including working
more closely with specifiers. This work
will be complemented by our ongoing
training initiatives to ensure we keep
standards high across the industry.
These include plans that will keep the
momentum going for the BCP now that
our training target has been hit.
As part of our aim to improve
collaboration, we have more joint
initiatives in the pipeline and are exploring
partnerships with other organisations,
including Local Authority Building Control
(LABC). We are also aiming to organise
more events which enable our members to
network and strengthen the association.
We’ve proved that a lot can happen in
a year and are confident that the next 12
months will be just as eventful. With a
growing member mix, enhanced skills,
training programmes and resources,
we can continue to provide a powerful
collective voice for the industry
that promotes the very best liquid
waterproofing solutions and offers the
highest quality advice.
