CLADDING & SHEETING
Euroform launches WeatherClad range
Building board specialist,
Euroform, has launched a
new range of solutions for
use in rainscreen cladding
applications. Available
with immediate eect,
WeatherClad is said to
provide a cost-eective
alternative to traditional
timber and PVCu planks,
with the additional
advantage of a range
of stocked colours, no
minimum order quantities
and ‘just in time’ deliveries
to coordinate with site
programmes.
As a fibre cement board,
WeatherClad is 100%
free from asbestos, yet
provides Euroclass A2 fire
performance. According
to Euroform, WeatherClad
requires ‘virtually no
maintenance’ over time and is
resistant to the destructive eects
of the UK weather.
From an installation
perspective, WeatherClad is
described as “easy to handle
on-site” and can be worked with
standard carpentry tools while
fixings do not require pre-drilling.
Supplied in standard plank sizes
of 7.5mm thick, 209mm wide and
3600mm lengths.

Versapanel delivers A2 fire performance
Building board specialist,
Euroform, has enhanced its range
of Versapanel cement particle
boards with the addition of A2
Versapanel with Euroclass A2
certification according to BSEN
13501-1, confirming that the high
mass, robust exterior lining is
of limited combustibility when
exposed to fire conditions.
Versapanel is said to be proven
to perform acoustically and deliver
‘exceptional’ performance in the
presence of moisture, as cut edges
do not require sealing to prevent
degradation. Recognising the
need to provide a product which
can assist with a simplified route
to BR 135 compliance, Euroform
has launched the A2 Versapanel.
A range of finishes can be
applied over A2 Versapanel,
including insulated render
systems, terracotta cladding
systems, high performance
cladding systems and traditional
brick coursework.

Fit for purpose?
A specification
validation service
has been developed
to help ensure
the practical and
aesthetic longevity
of screening louvres.
Gilberts
Blackpool has
developed the
service to enable
specifiers to be
assured, from the
outset, that the
material, finish
and format of the
louvres will deliver,
within budget.
Gilberts has
developed its own louvre product
range over the years to keep pace
with the evolution of building
design and structural interfaces.
Thus, it now has ranges of
standard, high performance, siteassembled
and acoustic louvres,
available in a range of ratings
for weight, ventilation, weather,
insects and even bird ingress. Even
fixings can often be tailored to
individual site preferences.
With its in-house design
expertise, Gilberts says it has
the capability to create bespoke
configurations which can be
both CFD-modelled and tested
within its own laboratory to
give customers complete ‘fit for
purpose’ peace of mind.
